01 – Device Health and Performance

AlmaIQ™ can: 

  • Analyze the overall health of a laptop/desktop, including performance checks, sluggishness, instability, and degradation. 
  • Diagnose CPU usage, memory, bottlenecks, and the most resource-intensive processes. 
  • Check disk condition and space, battery health (wear, degradation), and hardware information (processor, installed memory, manufacturer). 
  • Generate an executive or technical summary of the machine’s status and compare devices or groups.

FAQ – Suggested Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does AlmaIQ™ replace the service desk or work alongside it?

It works alongside it. AlmaIQ™ does not replace the service desk, but rather enhances it by resolving simple questions and diagnostics immediately (e.g., device health, installed software, sluggishness, Wi-Fi), reducing ticket volume. More complex issues or those requiring human interaction remain with the service desk.

Currently, the stated integrations are Microsoft Teams® and Google Chat™. There are no other readytouse channels, but the architecture envisions future expansion.

AlmaIQ™ queries and interprets data from Collective IQ® (which feeds performance, hardware, software, connectivity analyses, etc.) and, when the Business edition is activated, also accesses AlmaKnowledge™ (the corporate knowledge base) plus data about Microsoft Teams. It transforms this data into naturallanguage responses and actions (e.g., executive summary, diagnosis, comparisons).

Based on its capabilities, employees can query: overall device health, performance (CPU, memory, bottlenecks), disk condition and space, battery health, hardware information (processor, installed memory, manufacturer), installed software and changes, WiFi quality, Microsoft Teams call quality, warranty, as well as generate executive summaries and compare with other devices (when permitted).

Yes, role-based access is built into Collective IQ and AlmaIQ leverages that capability. Employees see only their own devices or authorized information; analysts and administrators have a broader view (comparison across groups, risk ranking, etc.).

Yes, directly. By allowing users to resolve common questions (e.g., “Is my PC slow?”, “Is my battery good?”, “Is my WiFi satisfactory for Teams video calls?”) and receive automatic diagnostics, many level1 or level2 tickets are avoided.

Is possible to create a ticket, get status of that ticket, update the ticket, get a list and status of all open tickets. The other features (device health, software, WiFi, Teams, reports, warranty, email sending, image analysis, etc.) are available today. More metrics will be added for AlmaIQ to use, in addition to integrations with other collaboration software and customer bots. 

Because AlmaIQ™ consumes data from Collective IQ® (which already respects the company’s access policies and governance), it inherits those rules. It does not store unnecessary data beyond the conversation context, and responses are generated based on authorized information. AlmaIQ is also not a general purpose AI (like ChatGPT whose purpose is not limited). It is, however, recommended to align with your organization’s compliance and data privacy policies if corporate data is to be placed into AlmaKnowledge

It comes ready to use for core functionality (hardware, software, performance, etc.) because it is already integrated with Collective IQ®. However, if the company wishes to use AlmaKnowledge™ with its own content (documents, policies, IT self-help, FAQs), population of the knowledge base is requiredPreparation of that information is done automatically by AlmaKnowledge, and the system is never taken offline. Moreover, the conversational agent itself does not require additional training.
