Collective IQ ITAM - the new name for SmartCenter
Almaden is changing the name of SmartCenter™ to Collective IQ ITAM to reflect its role within the Collective IQ® family.
Over the coming weeks, you will see the website messaging change to focus on the complementary DEX and ITAM capabilities of Collective IQ.
Similarly, the branding within the ITAM solution will be updated to reflect its place in Collective IQ.
The Documentation Portal will also be updated to replace SmartCenter with Collective IQ ITAM. This change will take some time to complete as there are hundreds of articles and we need to ensure that existing references don’t break
What does this mean for customers?
Will the price change?
The name change will not affect product pricing.
Do I get additional functionality?
For the past year SmartCenter users have been given Collective IQ Essentials licenses in addition to their SmartCenter license.
The new naming simplifies this process so that customers only buy Collective IQ licenses and get both the IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Digital Employee Experience Management (DEX) capabilities of Collective IQ.
Note that Almaden also continues to enhance DEX and ITAM capabilities.
Which product do I order?
If you only want the same functionality that you had with SmartCenter, you order Collective IQ Essentials. This provides all of the features of SmartCenter and the essential DEX features.
If you want to benefit from the AI capabilities of Collective IQ, then you need to purchase Collective IQ Business. This includes all of the features of SmartCenter, Collective IQ Essentials, and AlmaAI.
